Huddersfield Giants fans are being given the chance to see their favourites being put through their paces.

Next Bank Holiday Monday (August 29), Huddersfield’s first-team squad will be taking part in a training session at Leeds Road Playing Fields at 11.30am – and it will be open exclusively to 2016 season-ticket holders.

Not only will supporters be able to watch the senior squad put through their paces by new head coach Rick Stone and his staff, they’ll also be able to meet their favourite Giants players after training, when there will be a signing session.

It’s the second time the club have held this event, with Giants Marketing Manager James Brammer hoping this years’s will be successful as the one in 2015.

“It’s a great opportunity for our season-ticket holders to watch the Giants first team train and meet the players afterwards,” he said.

“Last year’s session was a great success and we wanted to give our 2016 season-ticket holders the opportunity again before the end of the summer holidays.”

Huddersfield Giants Under 19s will be looking to return to winning Academy ways when they host Castleford Tigers at Lockwood Park tomorrow night (7.30).

Coach Chris Thorman’s men suffered a narrow 38-34 defeat at Leeds Rhinos a week ago and will be looking to make up for that disappointment against a Castleford side who were warming up for the contest with a big 46-4 home win over Wakefield at the same time.
