PACK power will hold the key to a Giants victory!

That's the view of coach Jon Sharp as Huddersfield bid for a first Super League success of the season against Hull KR at the Galpharm on Sunday (3.00).

The Giants have opened their 2007 campaign with narrow defeats against champions St Helens and Bradford Bulls.

On both occasions, Sharp's forwards have more than matched their opponents up front.

Another big pack battle is predicted this weekend, with the Robins led by former Australian Test prop Michael Vella, supported by ex-Great Britain front-rower Danny Ward and former Giant Jim Gannon.

But Sharp knows his players have what it takes to keep their opponents at bay, and is promising Rovers a very hot reception.

"I've been delighted with what I've seen from the forwards this season," said Sharp.

"Last weekend, they did an excellent job against the Bulls when we deserved to get something out of the game.

"The fact we didn't hasn't gone down well with the players.

"They want to get that out of their system by performing well against Hull KR on Sunday, and I expect the forwards to lead the way."
