GIANTS coach Jon Sharp believes the forthcoming Great Britain training camp will provide Giants duo Eorl Crabtree and Chris Thorman with the perfect fillip for the Super League run-in.

Forward Crabtree and half-back Thorman will join up with fellow members of GB coach Brian Noble's initial 40-man squad at Bath on Sunday for three days of intensive work-outs.

The camp marks the start of the countdown to this Autumn's Tri Nations series, which includes a GB versus New Zealand clash at the Galpharm on Saturday, November 12.

And Sharp, who will also be present at Bath in his role as GB assistant coach, believes both his players will benefit.

"Both Chris and Eorl have been in great form of late and fully deserved being named in the initial 40," said Sharp.

"The training camp provides a great chance for them to mix with and learn from the country's best players in an environment which provides a change from the norm."
