CONFIDENT Giants coach Jon Sharp is tipping Ben Cooper and Stuart Donlan to bounce straight back from the disappointment of missing out on a place in last week's Challenge Cup semi-final squad.

The Huddersfield duo are ready to be handed places in tomorrow's Super League side to face Warrington Wolves at the new Halliwell-Jones Stadium (3.00).

It's the chance for the pair to prove to Sharp they should have been included in the 17 that faced St Helens in last Sunday's semi-final showdown.

The Giants were, of course, beaten 46-6 that day.

And Sharp is hoping Donlan and Cooper can lead the Giants' bid to get their season straight back on track.

"I know these two were bitterly disappointed to miss out on a semi-final spot," said Sharp.

"And I certainly took no pleasure in telling them they wouldn't be playing in a match of such great importance.

"But I was delighted with the way they responded to the news.

"As soon as they found out they weren't playing they put their own disappointment behind them and were excited for the boys who were picked.

"They both reacted in a way they should be proud of, and it is something that hasn't gone unnoticed."

Sharp has yet to finalise his side for tomorrow's trip, with several members of his squad undergoing late fitness test.

But he has indicated that his two threequarters may have key roles to play.

"What they do tomorrow depends on what happens today, " he added. "But I will be looking at them to prove a point or two."
