DON’T forget to give those fans who are doing the ‘Walk to Wakefield’ a wave if you see them on your way to Belle Vue today.
Giants Scholarship pupils, parents and backroom staff are also embarking on the 16-mile walk to help raise cash for the club’s Talentbuilder scheme, which includes an Academy tour to Australia later this year.
The estimated route for the walk is as follows, with supporters encouraged to give their support to the walkers between the start at 11.30am and the finish line at the Hearwell Stadium at around 5.15pm.
11.30 Walk starts at the DRAM Centre.
Noon Reach Total Fitness at Waterloo.
1.10pm Reach Flockton.
2.20pm Short stop at the Black Bull pub.
3.50pm Reach M1 roundabout.
4.20pm Reach Pugneys roundabout.
4.50pm Reach Sainsburys roundabout.
5.15pm Finish at Wakefield Wildcats.
