GIANTS coach Nathan Brown has welcomed his players back to training today and urged them to put Saturday’s Challenge Cup final defeat firmly behind them.

Brown’s men have not trained since they suffered Wembley heartache at the hands of Warrington Wolves.

But they returned to the Galpharm this morning to begin preparations for Saturday’s Super League trip to bottom club Celtic Crusaders, with Brown looking for as positive reaction.

“The way we respond to what happened on Saturday is extremely important,” said Brown.

“We decided that after the Cup final the players had earned the right to enjoy each other’s company for a couple of days before re-grouping.

“But we expect them to come back in and get straight back down to putting in the hard work.

“We have to make sure there’s no negative reaction to the events of last weekend and get back down to the business of giving ourselves a good shot in the Premiership.

“When the Giants got to the final in 2006, the club didn’t go on and grow as well as it should have done, and we’ve got to make sure that doesn’t happen this time around.
