KEVIN BROWN has pledged to come back stronger after suffering his Wembley Challenge Cup final nightmare.

The 24-year-old stand-off suffered medial ligament damage during Saturday’s 25-16 defeat to Warrington Wolves.

It means he will miss the rest of the season.

But Brown is already looking on the bright side and preparing to have as good a pre-season as possible.

“I’m obviously still keeping my fingers crossed that the injury isn’t as bad as Danny’s (teammate Kirmond)”, said Brown.

“I knew almost straight away when I picked up the injury that my season would be almost over.

“I looked down at the knee and it was all over the place.

“But I’m hoping it’s just medial damage and the cruciate is okay.

“Obviously, I’m still waiting to find out about that.

“But whatever the results, I’m just hoping to get over this whole nightmare as quickly as possible and come back better and stronger.

“I’m determined to make sure I have the best pre-season I possibly can.

“I’ve been delighted with the way my game has developed this season and I want that improvement to continue next year.”
