HUDDERSFIELD Giants will be looking to youth to steer them to a Senior Academy First Division victory over Featherstone Rovers at Huddersfield YMCA tonight (7.00).

Coach Lee St Hilaire's side should be confident of returning to winning ways after last week's 40-12 defeat at a strong Widnes Vikings.

Earlier in the season, Stephen Jones grabbed a stunning hat trick of tries as the Giants won 42-16 at Featherstone.

Jones is again in tonight's line-up, although the likes of forwards Jason Southwell and Iain Morrison will not be included due to their loan spells at Featherstone and Whitehaven respectively.

Also missing from the team that was victorious in March is Thomas Hemingway, who is in the Super League squad.

But even with these senior players absent, it would still be a shock if they were to lose in front of their own supporters.

Almost half of tonight's squad still qualify for the Junior Academy side, but they have demonstrated on numerous occasions this season that they are up to the task.

Feathersone have won only two of their eight League encounters, while the Giants are searching for a fourth success of the campaign.

And victory tonight will set up some of the youngsters for Saturday's Junior Academy clash against Leeds at YMCA (2.30).

Giants: Hull; Johnson, Jones, George (M), O'Brien; Walker, Mennell; Gledhill, Garside, Holdsworth, Senior, George (S), Tillotson. Subs: Wilkinson, Gee, Dobbs, Crowther.
