EXCITED Huddersfield Giants marketing officer Jonathan Wilkinson is promising fans a night to remember at the club's official Super League launch on Monday.

The January 31 event, which kicks-off at 7pm at Shout (formerly Chicago Rock Cafe), is the fans' main chance to meet coach Jon Sharp and his full squad ahead of the start of Super League X.

Besides the official unveiling of the squad, there will be an appearance from Giants chairman Ken Davy and a special opportunity to have a chat with new big Australian Test signing Michael De Vere.

There will also be one or two special announcements on the night and the official introduction of the Giants' matchday entertainment team.

"Every year this event proves a big hit, and this one should be no exception," said Wilkinson.

"There's a fantastic buzz around the club right now and we're sure that feelgood factor will be increased after this special night.

"I know the players and coaching staff are looking forward to meeting the fans, because they know how valuable they are to the wider Giants `team'.

"I just hope that as many fans as possible come down to guarantee this is another night to remember."

Wilkinson is hopeful there will be a big turn-out of young fans, with many of the club's policies this season being geared towards attracting even more juniors to home matches.

At the heart of the bold strategy is the offer of FREE Giants season- tickets to all children of primary school age.

"We have taken a lot of steps to create a real family atmosphere on gamedays," added Wilkinson.

"For this to be achieved we need as many children as possible to come `down to the Pharm', and that's why we're offering this free season-ticket.

"And we're sure our young fans will be able to enjoy Monday night at Shout just as much."
