EORL CRABTREE is braced for the Giants’ biggest pack battle so far.

Huddersfield clash with Warrington at the Galpharm on Sunday in a repeat of last season’s Challenge Cup final.

At the heart of Warrington’s 25-16 Wembley success was a dominant forward display led by England internationals Adrian Morley, Garreth Carvell and Ben Westwood.

All three have started the season strongly once again, and Giants’ prop Crabtree knows that whichever side wins the vital collisions up front could well win.

“You know that whenever you face Warrington you’re going to be in for a massive battle in the forwards, and Sunday is going to be no different,” said Crabtree.

“In fact, they look stronger than ever, and it’s obvious that only our very best is going to be good enough.

“Although we beat Hull KR convincingly, we know we weren’t brilliant and we need to shape up.

“Moz, Garreth and Ben may well be my England mates and they’re cracking lads, but nothing this weekend.

“I know they’ll be trying to smash me, just like they will the rest of our pack. They’ll be looking to give it to us big time.

“But they also know they can expect few favours from us. We relish a tough forward battle and we will be ready for one on Sunday.”
