BUOYANT Luke Robinson is confident the Giants’ 46-6 Super League thrashing of Harlequins could be a taste of things to come.

Huddersfield destroyed the previously in-form Quins in an eight-try Galpharm blitz to move up to fourth in the top-flight table.

But the in-form scrum half, who crossed twice in his side’s success, knows there’s still far more to come from his side.

“Yesterday showed we’re definitely heading in the right direction,” said the 24-year-old.

“But at the moment we’re still learning, and we know we’ve still got a long way to go to where we want to be.

“That was always going to be the case with a new coach (Nathan Brown) coming in.

“He’s obviously changed the dynamics in the side, and it was always going to take some time before we started to play exactly how he wanted us to play.

“Everyone has had to try and get used to playing different combinations, but this game showed that those combinations are starting to work.

“I think we’re already showing a bit more steel in defence, and we’re now starting to be a bit more ruthless in attack.

“That shows the hard work is paying off, although there’s still more work to do.

“But, as I said, the signs are looking good, and the aim now is to build on this win at Wigan on Friday.”
