GIANTS fans could have been forgiven for doing a double take at the Jungle on Sunday.

Adam Walker lined up for the visitors as Huddersfield notched a 34-12 win in the Valvoline Cup against Castleford Tigers, with the game acting as a curtain-raiser for the Super League encounter.

It probably looked as though Adam had switched allegiances for the main event as identical twin Jonathon came off the bench for the Tigers in their 44-18 victory over the Giants.

The Giants Under 20 side certainly had a happier time of it than the first team as they produced a strong second-half display after being held 6-6 at half-time.

Centre Perry Whiteley and Elliott Hodgson, who was employed on the wing, led the way for the Giants as they both grabbed two tries.

Keal Carlile, deployed at scrum half, also crossed for a touchdown, as did second rower Jacob Fairbank, while centre Greg Worthington kicked five goals as the Giants secured their eighth win of the campaign.

The Giants Under 18 side are next in action with a home game against Crusaders in the Valvoline Academy at YMCA on Saturday (2.00).
