AROUND 40 brave souls completed the 16-mile ‘Walk to Wakefield’ to raise cash for the Giants’ Talentbuilder fund ahead of Huddersfield’s big Super League win over the Wildcats.

Scholars, parents and backroom staff all completed the trek, with money from the walk earmarked for this summer’s Academy trip to Australia.

“With the backing of the community we want to give a squad of young players the chance of a lifetime,” said Giants Player Performance Manager Pete Riding. “Our young players will be working hard to make sure they raise the cash for the trip to go ahead. This will include bucket collections and packing bags in supermarkets, as well as the ‘Walk to Wakefield’.
