JAMES EVANS believes he will relish playing in Super League with the Giants.

The 25-year-old marked his debut with a very solid performance in the 25-18 triumph at Salford a week ago.

It was a display his new coach, Jon Sharp, felt was `outstanding.'

That view wasn't exactly shared by Evans, but he was relatively happy with his first effort.

"I would describe my debut as `not too bad, but could do better," he admitted.

"I suppose I couldn't expect miracles in my first match, although it would have been nice!

"It's obvious I need to work on my hit-ups and develop a better understanding between myself and my new teammates.

"But I know that will come. From what I've seen so far I think I'll like it in Super League."
