NEW Giants signing Gregg McNally is taking the new Co-operative Championship campaign by storm.

The 21-year-old scrum half, left, is spending all season on loan at hometown club Whitehaven before moving to Huddersfield for the next two years.

And he is already proving he has the potential to step up to Super League.

In the opening game of the former National League I season, McNally grabbed a hat trick as Haven beat Gateshead Thunder 42-18.

Then last weekend, the talented England Academy international scored four tries and kicked eight goals in the big 52-26 triumph at Featherstone Rovers.

That 32-point haul helped McNally equal a Whitehaven club record of individual points in a game.

He’s also the top try-scorer in the game with a total of 13 from League and Northern Cup ties and has chalked up 100 points for the season.
