TRIUMPHANT Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson has pledged his side will not rest on their laurels after securing just their second Super League victory of the campaign.

The head coach watched his men produce their best performance of the season to beat table-toppers Warrington Wolves 11-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium.

With Leeds Rhinos narrowly beating Hull FC 20-12, the Giants remain two points adrift at the foot of the table.

But Anderson knows if his side can build on the heroics against the Wolves the Giants season is far from over.

“This win was thoroughly deserved and I cannot praise the players enough for their efforts, “ said Anderson, who was keen to single out young prop Nathan Mason for his outstanding contribution.

“What we saw was the Giants of old, working together as a team and completing sets while being patient and profiting on the back of Danny Brough’s kicking game.

“The key now is o make sure we don’t rest on our laurels, keep working hard and make sure we build on this win.

“If we do that we will give ourselves a chance on Super League.”
