Huddersfield Giants Under 19s are ready for their biggest Academy test of the season with memories of a massive home win over Widnes fresh in their minds.

Coach Chris Thorman’s men warmed up for tomorrow’s clash against leaders Warrington at Crosfields ARLFC with an emphatic 64-14 victory over the outclassed Vikings.

The in-form Giants dominated from start to finish to maintain their top-six challenge, and by half-time a 12th triumph of the season was already assured as they stormed into a 46-8 interval advantage.

The hosts continued to dominate after the break to notch up a win which did their points difference a power of good.

Centres Zack McComb and Will Gledhill and prop Elliott Morris led the rout with two tries each, while full-back Daniel Abram, wingers Jarred Simpson and Darnell McIntosh, stand-off Will Milner, scrum half Jack Miller and substitute Sam Luckley added one each and Giants Super League squad man Miller landed eight goals.

But it’s a totally different proposition tomorrow night as the Giants face a Warrington side who have won 18 of their 21 games this season to lead second-placed St Helens in the table by a healthy six League points.
