THE Giants have announced their inaugural 20Twenty Cricket Family Funday.
The event will take place on Sunday, July 29, at Lascelles Hall cricket club with the event sponsored by Hinchliffe’s.
The Giants current first-team stars will take on a Legends team in a 20Twenty cricket match with other attractions throughout the day.
The event takes place between 1pm and 5pm and there will be face painting and classic games such as ‘Hook a Duck’, a Giants tombola, lucky dip and ‘Splat a Rat’.
Giants Business Development manager Robbie Hunter-Paul said: “This should be a fantastic event. The 20Twenty cricket should provide some great rivalry with the first team going up against the Legends and coaching staff.
“The focus is on family fun and will provide an opportunity for supporters to mingle with the playing squad.”
Hinchliffe’s are also running the catering for the event with a Giant BBQ and they will be assisted by first-team squad members who will serve supporters.
Tickets are priced at just £3 for adults and £1 for children with Under 5s free of charge. They are on sale now from the Galpharm Stadium ticket office and Hinchliffe’s Farm Shop.
