New arrivals Craig Huby and Jack Hughes have earned starting-number shirts in the official 2015 Huddersfield Giants Super League squad.

Former Castleford prop Huby has taken the No10 shirt off Craig Kopczak, who will wear 15 next season, while on-loan Wigan star Hughes is named at 12.

The now departed Jason Chan had that number last year.

Fellow new signing Jamie Ellis comes in at No20, which was also his squad number at Castleford last season, with former Bradford Bulls youngster Oliver Roberts wearing 26.

Coach Paul Anderson will be running with a 29-man squad in 2015, ranging from Scott Grix at No1 to teenager Liam Johnson at 29.

Former England Youth captain Johnson is one of three members of last season’s Giants Academy squad to have been promoted into the full-time Super League set-up, with fellow forwards Mick Learmonth (27) and Tyler Dickinson (28) the others.

With Chan, David Faiumu and Antonio Kaufusi having left the club, it means Huddersfield now have just two overseas players on their books in the shape of forwards Chris Bailey (13) and Ukuma Ta’ai (17).

That’s as low as any other club in the top-flight competition, which is something the Giants have been striving to achieve, with more emphasis now being placed on producing extra homegrown talent.
