HUDDERSFIELD Giants' Danny Brough has warned former boss Nathan Brown the Giants will show no sentiment when St Helens come to town for tonight’s Super League XVIII clash (7.45).

Huddersfield skipper Brough will be looking to guide his second-placed side to a 13th success of the top-flight campaign with a first League double over Saints since the 1950-51 season.

Huddersfield inflicted misery on new St Helens coach Brown on the opening day of the season as they stormed to a stunning 40-4 Langtree Park success.

That was the start of an uncomfortable opening half a season in charge for Brown, whose injury-hit side are struggling to make the play-offs.

But even though Brough has the utmost respect for his old boss, the inspirational half-back admits that counts for absolutely nothing tonight.

“It was strange when we went to Saints at the start of the season and Browny was in the opposition camp,” said Brough, who was brought to the Giants by Brown three seasons ago.

“But all that’s gone now, and history is history.

“We’re just focused on what Baloo (Paul Anderson) and Keiron (Purtill) are doing with us and just enjoying our rugby. Nothing else matters at the moment.

“The key tonight is making sure we play as well as we can and look to keep building towards the end of the season.

“Because we know if we don’t St Helens are getting the players back from injury who can really hurt you.

“It’s a massive boost for them to have James Roby back as he’s a quality player and we have got to respect him, while another class player in Jonny Lomax is also back.

“On top of that, Paul Wellens is safe as houses and Willie Manu is another really dangerous player, so we know they have strike-power all over and we can’t focus on one person.”
