NATHAN BROWN is planning to keep changes to a minimum as the Huddersfield Giants bid to reach their fourth Challenge Cup semi-final in eight years this weekend.

Huddersfield host Super League strugglers London Broncos at the Galpharm Stadium on Sunday (5pm) and are red-hot favourites to secure a quarter-final triumph.

Brown has confirmed all 17 who played in Saturday’s tough 27-20 top-of-the-table defeat at Catalan Dragons are fit and available for selection.

On top of that, Lee Gilmour (left) is back in contention after the birth of his son on Saturday, while David Fa’alogo is also in the frame after recovering from a groin strain, but Brown doesn’t know at this stage if the vastly-experienced duo will feature.

But if they are back in action, the Galpharm chief has made it clear they’re likely to be the only changes.

“There will certainly be nothing out of the blue this weekend,” revealed Brown.

“It’s still too early at this stage to say what the 17 will be, but there won’t be many changes to the side that played out in France.

“Everyone who played is fit to go again this weekend, and they backed that up by training well yesterday. They all know the importance of Sunday’s game and obviously want to be involved.

“A win this weekend will take us to within 80 minutes of a Wembley final, and who wouldn’t want to be involved in a match like that!

“It’s important we select the right 17 that we feel can get the job done.”

Fa’alogo wasn’t risked for the long trip to the South of France to make sure he was fully recovered from his groin problem, and Brown feels the decision has paid off.

“Doof is much, much better now,” added the Australian.

“The key for him is making sure he can train and play to his potential so we can gain the full benefit from him. Hopefully, we’re now getting to that stage.”
