NATHAN BROWN has returned from his break in Australia and is backing Giants prop Eorl Crabtree to be a big hit for England in Saturday’s Four Nations final against the mighty Kangaroos.

The Giants’ head coach jetted back into Huddersfield 48 hours ago and is ready for Monday’s official start to pre-season training.

Brown hasn’t watched any of the Four Nations games during his holiday.

But he’s heard more than enough from those in Sydney to know Crabtree has made a telling impact in the tournament – and he’s sure he can do it again at Elland Road this weekend.

“I’ve deliberately not watched any games over the past three weeks, and that’s helped me have a very good, refreshing break,” admitted Brown.

“But I’ve been reliably informed by plenty of good judges in Australia that Eorl’s been outstanding in the Four Nations games he’s played.

“There’s no question he’s turned a few heads in Australia with his performances and, as his coach, I’m proud about that.

“I suppose, because of his lack of experience at this level, some people may have been surprised by the impact he’s made.

“But I felt he was ready. He’s a big, athletic bloke who’s been in good form all year.

“Regardless of who the opposition is, the role he plays would cause any opposition problems, including Australia and New Zealand.

“And I know he can cause Australia problems again this weekend.”
