HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS coach Nathan Brown will be looking for an all-round improvement when his side make their second pre-season outing at Wigan on Thursday.

The Giants chief watched his side lose 32-22 at Castleford Tigers, and is already expecting to see a better show at the DW Stadium.

“Overall there were some positives to take from the contest, but we didn’t come here expecting to be firing on all cylinders,” said Brown.

“I will certainly be looking for improvements at Wigan, especially on our defence where we showed we still have work to do.

“There were times in the game when we showed good signs on attack, but we also know we still have matters to address.”

Brown admitted he is looking at the possibility of securing a loan deal to bring Leeds prop Luke Ambler to the club – along with some other potential options.

Giants go to Wigan without any further injury worries.
