HUDDERSFIELD Giants are just one point behind Super League leaders Wigan Warriors.
While the second placed Giants were rattling up a 60-16 home win over Catalan Dragons last night, the Warriors were suffering a shock 18-4 home defeat the hands of Castleford Tigers.
With the Giants having to visit Wigan on Friday, August 9, coach Paul Anderson ’s men have put themselves in a strong position to finish the season as minor champions – although the John Smith’s Stadium chief is refusing to get carried away.

“Last night’s performance showed that we are by far from the finished article, and overall it was a fairly low intensity game.
“But the fact we have scored over 100 points in our last two games against quality sides like Leeds and Catalan shows we are heading in the right direction.”
