Huddersfield Giants will go into their potentially historic Super League clash with local rivals Wakefield Trinity heading for full strength.

Giants forwards Ukuma Ta'ai and David Faiumu will be free to face the Wildcats in the home game on Sunday, September 1 (6.15).

It’s a match which could confirm the Giants as Super League table toppers and a first ‘championship’ for 81 years.

Ta’ai and Faiumu were both called to book for grade A punching charges by the Rugby Football League’s disciplinary committee following their 26-12 win at London Broncos on Saturday.

However, the pair were both able to submit early-guilty pleas and avoid suspension.

London forward Matt Cook has admitted punching in the same incident as tempers frayed late in the first half of the contest at The Stoop and he escapes a ban, but like the Giants duo will not be eligible to make another early-guilty plea for 12 months.

With skipper Danny Brough expected to be clear after a head injury, it leaves head coach Paul Anderson with only long-term casualty Stuart Fielden on the sidelines for the West Yorkshire derby at the John Smith’s.
