GIANTS staff are hoping the news of Eorl Crabtree’s inclusion in the England side to face Australia will help give a final season-ticket push ahead of tomorrow’s early discount deadline.

Upbeat officials report the Super League club are now closing in on last season’s ticket-holder figure of 5,500 as they seek to achieve average Galpharm attendances of 10,000.

Sales showed an increase on the back of the Giants being named the Super League Club of the Year, Nathan Brown picking up the Coach of the Year award and captain Brett Hodgson being named the Man of Steel.

And the Giants are hoping Crabtree’s piece of major news will provide another boost ahead of the midday deadline tomorrow.

“We’re delighted with the response from the claret and gold faithful to all the different packages on offer to watch us in 2010,” said Giants marketing manager James Brammer.

“The ticket office has been working flat-out this week as our fans buy in great numbers ahead of tomorrow’s deadline.

“We have used a variety of new initiatives to ensure our supporters are fully aware of what we have available and the Easy Payment Plan and £95 adult option are proving extremely popular.

“I’d encourage all our supporters to purchase before the midday deadline as these offers aren’t available after this time.

“It is our responsibility to get the message out to as many people as possible and this year we have used more mediums than ever before to do just that.

“And we’re all hoping the fantastic news with Eorl will help provide us with a massive final-day push.”
