BRIGHOUSE-BASED IES Energy Group are hoping to add a little Inspiration to tomorrow’s opening clash.
Jim Cunliffe, Managing Director of IES Energy Group, will be playing a dual role at the Galpharm Stadium, swapping his seat for a pew when he joins Inspiration UK, a 150-strong choir who will perform ahead of kick-off.
Mr Cunliffe, a long-time Giants fan, said: “This match has always been a great local derby and one of my favourite fixtures of the season.
“For the second year running, as IES Energy Group is sponsoring the match and I am singing on the pitch with Inspiration UK, there may well be a few more nerves before kick-off!”
League Sponsors Engage will also be visiting the eagerly-anticipated match, with Sid the Savings Pig and a promotional team on hand to distribute giveaways.
And Giants marketing chief James Brammer believes these added attractions will add to what promises to be a massive occasion.
