GREG EDEN is confident the Huddersfield Giants will bounce back from their defeat by Wigan and turn on the Super League style against Salford on Sunday.

The 21-year-old full-back was singled out for praise by head coach Nathan Brown for his performance in the 32-12 reverse.

But he knows he’s got to maintain his form against the City Reds at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium as part of the Magic Weekend to help the Giants get back on track.

“We were all pretty disappointed after the Wigan game,” said Eden. “But we know it’s not the end of the world and we live to fight another day.

“We also know that if things had gone a bit differently the other night the outcome would have been better.

“If we’d taken more of our chances early on and not had a couple of tries disallowed, then we know the result could have been totally different. That's something we’ve already spoken about as a group, and we’re already looking forward to getting back to winning ways on Sunday.

“It’s going to be a great experience playing in Manchester, and with a big crowd and a good atmosphere I’m sure it'll help bring the very best out of us. We can’t wait to get back out onto the field again.”

And Eden is hoping he can play a leading role for the Giants once again.

“I was pleased with the way I went against Wigan,” he added.

“And Browny was pretty happy with me, too. At the end of the day, that’s obviously more important than anything.

“It’s just a case of keeping my head down and looking to keep on developing, because I’m the first to admit there are still things I need to work on. But, right now, I’m just hoping I can contribute to helping us beat Salford on Sunday. That’s the top priority for everyone.”
