Huddersfield Giants and Halifax will be sharing a physio in 2015.

By day, Dave Ferguson is spending his time with the Super League Giants, and by night he will be treating the players at Championship club Halifax.

East Yorkshireman Ferguson is working as an intern at the Giants through Prosport Physiotherapy, Huddersfield, which is run by Huddersfield head physio Dave O’Sullivan.

And Halifax boss and former Giants coach Richard Marshall is delighted with the link-up.

“Dave’s had a great education and he’s brought some top-class techniques from Huddersfield with him as a result.” said Marshall, who played in the claret and gold under Tony Smith after leaving Fax in 2000.

“He’s still doing some work there during the day, then coming to us in the evening.

“It’s a good arrangement all round.”

Ferguson is currently treating forwards Luke Ambler and Ross Divorty, who both have ankle problems, although Marshall was confident Divorty at least was on course for a speedy recovery and get some quality work under his belt before the pre-season clash against the Giants at The Shay on Sunday, January 25.

“Luke isn’t running at the moment because of an injury he brought back from the Ireland games,” added Marshall, whose side are using the all-weather playing surface at Trinity Academy in Holmfield.

“Ross went over on his last week but, hopefully, will be running again this week.”
