FORMER Hull star Graeme Horne is determined to overcome any emotion and help the Giants secure victory at the KC Stadium tomorrow night (8.00).
The 24-year-old forward spent eight years with his hometown club, but was shown the door at the end of last season.
Having slotted in superbly at the Galpharm and after beating Bradford 24-12, the former England Academy man is relishing the chance of returning to his old home.
“I think everyone knows how disappointed I was to leave Hull. I loved every minute of my time there,” he said.
“As a result, I’m sure tomorrow will be pretty emotional. I’ve still got a lot of mates there, as well as my brother Richard.
“But tomorrow night they’re not my mates any more. I’ll be sticking up for my new teammates, and looking forward to going back ‘home’ and getting the win for Huddersfield.
“Any emotion I feel will be going straight out of the window. Out there on the field I’ll be treating it just like any other game.
“Although Hull let me go, I don’t feel I need to prove anything to anyone there. The only one I need to prove myself to is Nathan Brown, who’s the coach who’s going to decide whether I play or not.”
