KEVIN BROWN has played his last game for Huddersfield Giants.

The Super League club have confirmed an ankle injury will rule him out for the remainder of the 2012 season.

And with the 27-year-old former Giants captain joining Widnes Vikings next season, it means Brown won't be seen in the claret and gold again.

"I've enjoyed my time at the Giants and I'm sorry I won't be able to finish as I wanted, but the injury has got to the
stage where it needed fixing up," said Brown who has played 172 games for the club and scored 51 tries.

"I really hope the boys can have a strong end to the year and I look forward now to getting ready for the next chapter in my career which will be at Widnes".
