GIANTS officials are hoping to maintain another healthy increase in home Super League attendances in the second half of the season.

Average crowds at the Galpharm are around 300 ahead of the figure from this time last year.

That’s a highly-encouraging mark as Huddersfield look to push towards the 10,000 average season attendance which will further enhance the club’s bid for a new three-year Super League franchise from 2012.

Unfortunately, maintaining that increase for the remaining six home Super League XV fixtures could prove tough.

A run of four successive defeats – albeit against leaders Wigan and second-placed Warrington – have seen the Giants fall to seventh in the table and made a demoralising exit from the Challenge Cup after their heavy fifth-round defeat by the Wolves.

Those losses have also come at a time when it was announced head coach Nathan Brown and captain Brett Hodgson will be leaving at the end of the season.

All these factors have rocked many Giants fans, although there was still an encouraging 8,390 home crowd against Wigan on May 16.

But with all six of Huddersfield’s remaining Galpharm clashes coming against sides the Giants are more than capable of beating, an exciting home run-in could be on the cards.

As a result, the Giants have announced a new cut-price mini season-ticket to help provide a new attendance boost.

They have launched a Fantastic Four Flexi Game Pack to give Giants fans the chance to choose any four of the six remaining home games.

Prices are £60 for adults and £40 for concessions in the Direct Golf Stand Lower Tier, Britannia Rescue Stand & Fantastic Media Stand Lower Tier.

Also on sale are junior mini season tickets, which include all remaining home and away Super League fixtures (12 games) for just £20.

Remaining home fixtures: Hull FC (June 20), Hull KR (June 25), Crusaders (July 11), Harlequins (July 25), Wakefield (August 1), Salford (August 22).
