GRAEME HORNE has joined the Giants for Super League XV.

The 24-year-old former Hull FC utility man has today completed a one-year deal following his release from his hometown club.

The former England junior international, who is 6ft 1in tall and weighs 14st 3lbs, is not short on senior experience, having made 101 first-team appearances for the black and whites.

And Giants head coach Nathan Brown believes he will be a very valuable addition to his squad.

“There’s no question he’s a player of some talent and will enhance the quality of our squad,” said Brown.

“At this stage of the year, it’s not easy to pick up a player of this quality, so we believe we’ve done exceptionally well to get him.

“For a player of his age to have played so many Super League games proves he must have something going for him.

“And we’re now hoping this change of environment will be the catalyst to help Graeme reach his full potential.”

Horne, who is the younger brother of Hull FC stand-off Richard, admits he was disappointed to be told he would be leaving at spending eight years at the KC Stadium.

But he believes coming to joins has helped soften the blow.

“This is a really exciting move for me, and could be just what I need at this stage of his career.”
