Bradford Bulls will be hoping to strike a deal with the Huddersfield Giants to extend Anthony Mullally’s loan deal as quickly as possible.

With the Ireland World Cup prop’s initial month’s loan spell having now come to an end, the two clubs were meeting early this week to consider the next step.

The Bulls are desperate to keep hold of Mullally, with coach Francis Cummins’ injury-ravaged squad now down to just one recognised prop.

And Giants chief Paul Anderson is also open to suggestions to guarantee the 22-year-old some much-needed gametime.

“Anthony needs to play and get some consistent time,” said Anderson.

“The only way he’s going to get better and improve is if he’s allowed to play more time.

If he came back here at this stage I couldn’t guarantee when and where he’d get that time.”
