Huddersfield Giants’ senior players are relishing life under new conditioner John Noonan.

That’s the view of head coach Paul Anderson as the countdown to the 2016 Super League season intensifies.

Noonan has brought a fresh approach to the fitness work at the Super League club, which Anderson feels his players have embraced.

And the John Smith’s Stadium chief believes it’s the older end who have had an extra spring in their step.

“Everyone’s enjoying the new way we’re working, fitness-wise,” said Anderson.

Giants back for pre-season training. Head of strength and conditioning John Noonan puts the players through some vigorous training.

“They say a change can be as good as a rest, and that looks to be the case here.

“I’ve been encouraged with the work being put in by the younger blokes, and I’ve also been encouraged with the work being put in by the senior blokes.

“Take Eorl Crabtree, for instance. He may be 300-years-old and taking part in his 299th pre-season, but he looks to be having the time of his life.

“That seems to be the case with every one here, and that’s obviously great to see.”
