FINAL details for Eorl Crabtree’s testimonial clash against Super League rivals Hull KR at the Galpharm Stadium next Sunday (2.30) have now been confirmed.
Admission will be at the turnstiles on the day, with discounted prices of £15 for adults, £12 concessions and £5 for Under 16s.
A limited number of hospitality packages are also still available for both a directors box package and executive box at a cost of £35 per person.
With both sides expected to be fielding strong squads and former Australia Test back-row forward Luke O’Donnell in line to make his Giants debut, a bumper turn-out is expected.
And Crabtree’s testimonial committee chairman Brian Blacker believes the excitement is building all the time, with the hope the earlier kick-off time of 2.30 will have a positive impact.
“The 2.30pm kick-off is more user-friendly in the depth of winter, particularly for the fans travelling from Hull,” he explained.
“Both main touchline stands will be open for Giants fans, with the Hull KR supporters being housed in the traditional away stand behind the posts.
“With plenty of seats available and a host of turnstiles in operation, it has been decided to avoid pre-match ticket sales and make Eorl’s testimonial match user friendly for the fans by having admission on the day.
“With Eorl’s popularity, having served his hometown club for the past 10 years and committing himself to the end of 2015, plus both sides planning to field a new Australian signing, we’re looking forward to attracting a good crowd.”
The hospitality package of £35 includes a seat in the directors box, pre-match buffet of soup and sandwiches, celebrity match preview, competitions, car park pass and admission to the private post-match players bar.
