GIANTS hard man David Fa’alogo is hoping his top-quality performance against Harlequins is a taste of things to come.

The 30-year-old former New Zealand Test back-row forward produced his best display of Super League XVI to help Huddersfield secure an 18-10 triumph in the capital and move briefly to the top of the table.

And the no-nonsense pack man (affectionally known by his teammates as Doof) has already set his sights on producing an even more dynamic display against Bradford Bulls in Sunday’s big derby clash at the Galpharm (3.00).

“I was pleased with my performance against Harlequins, and it’s one I’m definitely looking to build on,” said Fa’alogo, who created his side’s vital second-half try for Graeme Horne.

“Nathan (Brown) asked me to play more of a central running role last Friday and I enjoyed it.

“Hopefully, I’ll be able to do something similar this week to help us beat the Bulls, particularly as it’ll mean so much to the fans. I know how important the local bragging rights are, and I’d love to see the Huddersfield supporters going home happy.

“If we all work really hard for each other, I know they will.”
