LEROY CUDJOE is determined to build on his dream year in 2011.

The 22-year-old former Newsome Panthers junior (pictured right) crowned an excellent Super League season with the Giants by making his Test debut in the Four Nations clash against Australia in Melbourne in November.

Cudjoe’s senior international bow came after making 30 appearances for his hometown club and scoring 24 tries, just one behind leading try-scorer David Hodgson.

And the former England Academy ace, who has been handed a first-choice centre spot for Super League XVI, is already setting his sights on doing even better this year.

“2010 has been absolutely amazing for me,” said Cudjoe, who also signed a new two-year contract extension earlier in the year.

“To be honest, I couldn’t have dreamed of it going any better. Back in 2008, I thought all my dreams had come true when I made my Giants Super League debut against Leeds.

“But since then, I’ve played in a Challenge Cup final at Wembley, been part of the club’s first play-off success and toured Australia and New Zealand with England – and that’s just made me even more determined to achieve even more.

“I feel I’m improving with every game I play, and hopefully that will continue for quite some time to come.

“Going on tour with England, meeting world class players and training with them on a daily basis has done wonders for my confidence, as has playing in the games, and it’s made me even more excited about playing next season.

“I’m now back training with the boys after having a bit of time off, and I can’t believe how excited I feel about 2011.

“The break I’ve just had has been my first for just over a year. As a result, I feel really fresh, both mentally and physically, and I’m ready to do everything I can to make sure this year can be even better than last.”
