TOP Giant Luke O’Donnell is aiming to celebrate his 200th senior game by inspiring his side to a top-of-the-table home Super League victory over St Helens tomorrow (5.00).

The 30-year-old Australian back-row forward has proved an instant hit with the Huddersfield faithful, with his wealth of experience already shining through.

During a glittering career he has represented Australia at Test level and played State of Origin for New South Wales.

And O’Donnell would be delighted to mark his milestone match by helping the Giants rediscover their top early-season form and beat in-form Saints in the process.

“It’s always good to reach landmarks like this, but winning the game is far more important,” said O’Donnell, right.

“After a disappointing few weeks, we’ve been working really hard to try and put things right for this game against St Helens. Hopefully, I can play a part.

“We obviously want to finish as high up the table as possible, so beating the clubs around us is very important.

“Saints come under that category, and if we can go and beat them tomorrow night it’ll be a sign we’re getting back to our best.”
