IN-FORM Huddersfield Giants Under 19s are ready for the biggest test of their Academy season so far.

Coach Chris Thorman’s men host leaders Leeds Rhinos at Huddersfield YMCA tomorrow – the game will now kick-off at 1pm – after warming up with a big 48-10 home triumph over fellow mid-table team Widnes Vikings the week before.

Opponents Leeds have won 16 of their 17 Academy fixtures this season, while the Giants have eight wins and a drawn from their 15 games.

But with Huddersfield going into the contest on the back of such a dominant display against the Vikings – tries from Sam Candlin (2), Josh Hunt (2), Jack Miller (2), Jake Connor, Zack McComb and Jared Simpson and six Miller goals did the damage – they won’t be lacking any confidence against a Leeds Under 19s side who will have several of their star players in action for their injury-hit Super League side.

And this weekend’s side is also expected to show few changes to the one that won a a week ago.

Giants Under 19 side: Connor, Hunt, Shoel, McComb, Simpson, Croisdale, Battye, Candlin, Miller, Mason, Dickinson, Blagbrough, Morris, Wood, Carlos, King, Graham, Smithies, Leeming, Lidbury.
