GIANTS experienced Australian Test forward Luke O'Donnell has been omitted from the 19-man squad for the Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final clash with Warrington at the City of Salford Stadium on Sunday (5.30).

Head coach Nathan Brown said O'Donnell would miss the game in midweek, but has yet to specify the problem, however Huddersfield are boosted by top try scorer Luke George being cleared to play after he suffered a concussion in the 52-6 Super League defeat at Castleford Tigers.

Also cleared are Warrington duo Trent Waterhouse and key playmaker Lee Briers.

Waterhouse also suffered a head injury in the Wolves 15-6 Super League win over Catalan Dragons on Monday night, while Warrington's club leading points scorer Briers is fit to play after being rested for the Catalan game due to an Achilles tendon niggle.
