Huddersfield Giants’ top captures from Australia are ready to get to work on Monday morning.

Hooker Ryan Hinchcliffe arrives from Melbourne Storm and has followed prop Sam Rapira, from New Zealand Warriors, who was first to reach his new West Yorkshire base.

The 28-year-old New Zealand international forward, who has arrived with his family, was welcomed on board by Giants chairman Ken Davy and said: “It’s a new club for me and I’ve just got to do my best, I’ve got to try and earn the boys respect and do what is good for the team.

“We want to get settled in and get to know everyone.”

For 31-year-old Hinchcliffe his move to the Giants looks set to see him return to his hooking role after spending much of the last NRL season playing from loose forward – Australian skipper Cameron Smith taking first call at hooker for Melbourne.

Giants fans are reminded that the discount deadline to buy 2016 season tickets is November 30.
