I THOUGHT that performance really encapsulated what we’ve been about this season.

We started well, then things went against us and then there’s our inability to change that momentum.

Our own errors left us doing lots of defending.

We’re doing too much and obviously it had a detrimental effect.

It doesn’t help when you lose your half-back (Adam Dykes).

He’s got a quad injury but we’ll see how he responds to treatment.

The Challenge Cup final seems a long, long way away and we’ve got blokes that have gone down again.

All injuries are frustrating, but we’ve had injuries to our first-choice half-backs all year and they’ve never spent a day on the training field together.

It is frustrating. We need to recognise some of the reasons why it’s happening and it’s something we need to put right for next year.
