BUSY Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson would love to recruit 17 Eorl Crabtrees.

Huddersfield’s season came to a bitterly disappointing end with Sunday’s 46-10 play-off defeat at Hull FC.

Anderson has revealed he is already starting to put plans in place for 2013, including the building of his squad for Super League XVIII.

And the John Smith’s Stadium chief knows his side wouldn’t go far wrong if they were filled with players who showed the same commitment and determination as England prop Crabtree in last weekend’s defeat at the KC Stadium.

“What Eorl did the other day was outstanding and I would love to have a team full of players who gave as much as he did,” said Anderson. “Eorl’s consistency has been massive for us this year and we all knew we could depend on him at Hull – he clearly didn’t let anybody down.

“We have now come to the time of the year when we are trying to put pieces in place regarding who we will be recruiting and who we are letting go ahead of next season.

“It is players of the calibre of Eorl we would like to see pulling on the Giants shirt and that is what we are working towards.”
