BIG Eorl Crabtree will return to the Giants with his confidence sky-high after helping England win the Federation Shield.

The 24-year-old prop was one of the stars of the show as the host nation beat Tonga 32-14 in a fiery final at Widnes.

An explosive second spell in the final 25 minutes saw Crabtree play a major role in ending the Tongan's resistance.

And his contribution has put him in excellent heart ahead of the start of pre-season training.

"I'm absolutely buzzing right now," said Crabtree straight after the match.

"I've loved every minute of being a part of this England squad. They've been a great set of lads.

"And to sign off by beating Tonga in the final is the icing on the cake.

"They made it very tough for us, which we always expected, but we showed our quality and that took us through.

"I also thought I played quite well, particularly in my second spell when they were tiring.

"Everything I tried came off, and it was a great feeling.

"Even though this has been a long season for me, I feel really fresh and I can't wait to get back for pre-season training.

"I'll have a couple of weeks off to fully re-charge my batteries.

"But I'm already thinking ahead to next season and having an even better year with the Giants.

"That's definitely the aim."
