WIGAN Warriors' Kevin Brown has become a Giant!

The 21-year-old utility back has moved to the Galpharm on loan for the rest of the season and will make his debut in Sunday's home engage Super League clash against Leeds Rhinos (3.00).

He becomes the third player to move from Wigan to Huddersfield this year, following in the footsteps of Martin Aspinwall and Stephen Wild.

And the 6ft, 13st centre or stand-off admits his former teammates at the JJB Stadium played a big part in convincing him this would be a good move to make.

"I know how much Aspy and Wildy are enjoying it at the Giants and how well they're playing," said Brown.

"And that was a big factor in my decision to come.

"But what's also important is that I see this move as the chance to play Super League on a regular basis.

"Brian Noble (Wigan coach) told me I'm still part of his plans, but he couldn't guarantee me a regular first-team spot.

"I believe that's what I need at this stage of my development.

"I've had a good start to my career, and I've been a regular in the Wigan side for the last two seasons. But now is the time to really kick-on. I feel coming here is the ideal opportunity.

"There's a really good feeling here and the team spirit among the players is fantastic.

"I'm really excited."
