HUDDERSFIELD Giants have finally begun their rise up the Super League ladder!

Yesterday's record 41-16 win over Wigan has taken coach Jon Sharp's side above Salford in the table.

It was the Giants' third top-flight triumph on the trot, with the mood at the club now in total contrast to earlier in the season when they lost their opening seven League games.

It was also their biggest ever win over Wigan.

And Sharp is hoping it's a taste of things to come.

"In the past few weeks, we have gone from adversity to a position from where we can go forward," said Sharp. "What's important now is that we don't get too carried away and start falling in love with ourselves.

"It's important we continue to build on what we are doing and make sure we keep our heads down and keep working.

"The top priority is to keep this momentum going.

"Although the early results went against us, we haven't done badly all season and the work we have done earlier in the campaign is now starting to pay off.

"I was delighted with what we showed against Wigan.

"But we have to make sure we back this up with something even better against Harlequins at home on Sunday."
