COMMUNITY Marketing manager Lisa Jagger is leaving the Giants.

After two years at the Super League club, she is moving from the Galpharm to launch Kirklees-based `Active Matters'.

The company will provide schools with a multi-sport coaching programme, which will incorporate skills sessions and the promotion of a healthy and active lifestyle.

Her first `Active Matters' assignments get under way this month, and she admits to feeling very excited.

But she also admits it was a tough decision to leave the Giants.

"The last 18 months at the Giants have been a fantastic experience and I'll be sad to leave," said the BSc health and fitness graduate.

"However, the opportunity to launch my new business `Active Matters' is very exciting.

"I will be working within schools and various community organisations delivering the fundamental skills of sport, which will underpin the future work done by the Giants, and other development schemes.

"The Giants, along with the local community, have given me tremendous support in the development of the Giants' Community programme and I am confident the club will go from strength to strength."

The Giants are disappointed to have lost Jagger, but are fully behind her move.

"We're naturally disappointed to lose Lisa, but in this instance I think it's for the right reasons and she has a fantastic business opportunity that was too good to miss," said general manager Richard Thewlis.

"Lisa completely re-vamped all our community activities in her 18 months here. Her work has helped us grow far stronger."
