Jake Connor's Super 8s score against Castleford Tigers at the John Smith’s Stadium has been named the Giants Try of the Season.
Young centre Connor’s first-half effort got the nod to reward its team brilliance.
It all started from an offload by Jack Hughes on halfway to Luke Robinson.
The hooker then fed Ukuma Ta’ai, who fed Aaron Murphy to charge away.
The winger bumped off Ben Roberts before finding Scott Grix to slip the pass to Ta’ai.
The back-row forward immediately charged upfield and then released Connor to finish off from 20m.
It was a breathtaking effort and one that brought the house down – which was exactly the case with McGillvary’s two tries.
The runner-up was his long-range effort against Catalans as he collected a kick downfield and burst through the Dragons defence on the 40m and then outpaced full-back Morgan Escare to score.
His third-placed score was another from distance, with Leroy Cudjoe sending him away with lightning-fast hands and then McGillvary rounding Luke Dorn to score.
How many more top Giants efforts will be scored before the end of the season?
