AT half-time I was still confident we were going to create chances, and we did.
We were slightly off our game across the board but we scraped a win.
Our energy levels were down but we’ve got great spirit and character in the side – I’ve said that since I took over.
We just need to be a lot better performance-wise if we finish in the top six.
We generally need to ‘up’ our game slightly for the challenges ahead and I’m sure we will. We need to be on our game in the next six or seven weeks.
And I hope I don’t need to use the same sort of half-time talk that I was forced to use this time.
I think it’s fair to say there was a fair bit of industrial language used, but I think it was that sort of speech that was required on this occasion, rather than one of a more highly technical nature.
I had to find a way of trying to liven my boys up.
